"I thought the game had started off on a good note. The background & sound effects really matched the atmosphere and timing.
ReplyDeleteThe only problem I had was that it was too short. The endings were all very similar with just different characters.
The storyline was good but it didn't have a clear ending."

"-I liked how there were multiple endings based on your choices. :)
ReplyDelete-I found the music to be very fitting with the whole mood of the game. I really liked how that feel was maintained throughout.
-The mystery aspect of the game was pretty cool! I kind of wished it went a little deeper (with maybe a bit more playthrough time), though. ^^;
-Overall, great game!"

"-The story was a very solid murder mystery investigation. I could see it developing into something enjoyable and was starting to get hooked. Then it suddenly ended and I had no honest idea what the heck had just happened. The investigation felt like it had just gotten started, a little bit of evidence had been found, then we were done. I'd like to see more relationship between the characters, more facts and evidence before we wrap everything up.
ReplyDelete-The music for the bar scene didn't really fit. While the music for the rest of the scenes was there, it just felt flat. Nonetheless, the sound effects were well placed and did help enhance the story.
-Renpy default to the max. Even the character names used the same color. It's not that hard to modify Renpy games to add a little bit of flair and excitement to help enhance your game. Not doing anything just feels... lazy.
-Art was great. No problems there. Unique, non-photo backgrounds, as well as the CGs, were a very smart touch that helped bring up the visual appeal of the story.
Overall, a decent murder mystery VN. It needs a bit more polishing, a bit more expanding, but the foundation for a solid story, maybe even a series, is there."
